about

Lines of Chances is the second single released off of Wilson's upcoming EP: "Roll Away The Day," out April 19th, 2016. Lines of Chances was inspired by a foggy day on the east coast in Maryland. My parents house overlooks a forest and that day I was inspired looking at all the tree branches reaching through the fog. I found the metaphor applicable to so many aspects of life and this song was the result of that epiphany.

lyrics

I’m up here in the tree tops
Watching the mist flow through the air
I’m up here in the tree tops
Where the vision is not clear
But the curly twined branches
The lines of reaching chances are here

If they can reach for sunshine
Maybe I can reach out too
If the clouds are just a screen to hide
Maybe I can find the view
Through the curly twined branches
The lines of reaching chances
Will guide me through

They say there’s beauty in the unknown
Hidden behind the vail
Maybe if I look long enough
I can see that little bird sail
Through the curly twined branches
The lines of reaching chances
And the path of an old trail

I’m up here in the tree tops
Watching the mist flow through the air
I’m up here in the tree tops
Where the vision is not clear
But the curly twined branches
The lines of reaching chances are here

The curly twined branches
The lines of reaching chances are here
